The Math Behind the Calculator

Every calculation starts by converting your serving to grams. The calculator uses a density of 0.92 g per milliliter for cooking oils. So 1 tablespoon (15 ml) equals 15 × 0.92 = 13.8 g, and 1 cup (240 ml) equals 220.8 g.
